Happy Valentines Day;

I am so happy the bitter cold weather that had a grip on us for so long is finally over. Hopefully it will not return for the rest of the winter.

Well, our next big event is the Spuds Baked Potato Party. This is our 7th year and it has always had a great turnout and is a lot of fun. Dan and Jo have graciously invited us to their new home. The information was in the last newsletter, but in case you did not see it, here are the details. Saturday, February 25th from 6 to 9 pm at Dan and Jo’s house. Call me for directions. Please bring a topping for the potato or a dessert and a beverage of your choice. Dan and Jo are providing the standard toppings. Please RSVP to myself or Dan so they know how many potato’s to bake and chairs to set up. I hope to see you there.

There are still 5 rooms available at Chico for May 6th. Please make your reservations soon. This year we are in the main lodge with a private bath, and one room in the Fisherman’s Lodge, which is great for a family. Maybe the weather will be a little warmer. Would you like to have lunch at Chico or Gardiner. Please let me know your preference so I can make reservations.

I hope you can help me with a dilemma. I am trying to put together a trip to Jackson Hole and thru the Park, with Dan’s help, for September. It will be an overnight. Jackson Hole is way too expensive to stay, Idaho Falls is the next best bet. Rexburg has several hotel’s, but doesn’t have very good dining. Unless you like Mexican food. I would like to know if enough people are interested in the trip before I pursue this any further. It would be a beautiful drive that time of year. I was hoping we could meet up with the Yellowstone region folks for dinner. Dan has suggested some incredible stops along the way. Please let me know your thoughts.

We have a new member. Craig Frye is from Billings and drives a 2007 911 Turbo. We hope to meet you soon, Craig.  Also, thanks to Jere Walters for renewing your membership. He has been a member since 1972.
